If you in the mood for something larger our Fish & Chips is Hand Battered on the premises and our Burger selection is also Hand Pressed here at the Railway.
Classic Sausage & Mash goes down a treat and the popular Beef & Abbot Ale Pie hits the spot every time, Seasonal Specials are on offer if you fancy something more adventurous.
Or simply relax with friends and one of our Sharing Boards and a bottle of one of our exclusive award winning wines.

three bars and we will bring the food to your table.

HISTORY
Established 1736, original features includes an impressive
high-ceilinged palace with Victorian fittings.
The pub has been recently restored to its former glory with
a full refurbishment in 2005 but keeping it’s traditional feel.
There is thought to have been an ale house on the site in
the first half of the 18th century. Farmers bought cows to the outskirts
of the city and herded the in Liverpool Street and the pub was nicknamed ‘The
Cow Shed’.
